To the glory of God, I on behalf of my family and the Austin Akobundu Campaign Council, heartily wish all Abians particularly my constituents in Abia Central Senatorial District a prosperous New Year. I thank God for leading us thus far; and through the celebration of 2022 Christmas.
I pray that the year, 2023 will be a year of joy, peace, monumental and momentous breakthroughs, resounding success and good tidings. I thank the Almighty God for granting us another opportunity of being alive to witness another New Year.
2023 is a unique year. It is a year all Nigerians will take their destiny by own hands by exercising their franchise in the General Elections coming up this year. This is the opportunity you have to elect credible candidates that will represent you in all strata of government. I urge our people in Abia Central to ensure that they obtain the PVCs now so that they will elect me on February 25, 2023 as Senator that will represent the zone from 2023.
I am reassuring our people in Abia Central that henceforth you will in no small measure enjoy immeasurable supply of dividends of democracy, infrastructures, quality Representation, excellent Lawmaking, untainted Oversight performance that will usher all of us into a sustained welfare package, unrestrained fountain of joy, peace and uncommon development which we deserve.
I whollyheartedly offer myself to represent you well in the Senate if you elect me as your Senator in the forthcoming General Elections. The zone needs to move forward and I am properly equipped to let it achieve that through my wide contacts across the six geopolitical zones of the country.
I hereby reassure you that if elected as Senator, I will interface with the relevant ministries and agencies of government to revisit the things that are lacking in Abia Central.
I promise our women of enormous empowerment that will help to liberate them from the shackles of lack and poverty bearing in mind that the much expected 35% derivative that will advance their cause will only be pursued by a focused personality like me.
Efforts will be made to develop the youths in the zone through some aggressive skill and educational acquisitions. As Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Abia Central, I will look at all areas of our needs and use my wide contacts in the country to address them.
Job creation will also be my focus. I will ensure that our people, particular the youth get federal and state government’s jobs. I’m aware that vices like insecurity, drunkenness, banditry, kidnapping, robbery, prostitution, bloodshed, irresponsible/careless behaviour are some of the spin-off of unemployment. I will endeavour to tackle them if elected.
My dear brother and sisters of Abia Central, as we look forward to a prosperous New Year, I encourage you to remain steadfast in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and vote all our candidates in the Elections for a better future.
I thank God, who through His infinite mercies and love, spared our lives from the beginning of this year till now and pray that the year 2023 will provide us with much blessings, joy and peace.
