COL AUSTIN AKOBUNDU (Rtd) AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE PDP CAMPAIGN COUNCIL INNAUGURATED

The Abia State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has inaugurated it's Campaign Council ahead of next year's general elections. The mandate was clearly defined for the team to deliver 5/5.


Inaugurating the Council at Ochendo International Conference Center, Umuahia, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, urged the Council members to engage the assignment with all commitment and dedication.

He appealed to aggrieved party faithfuls in the state to sheath their swords and support the party to victory insisting that the PDP has all it takes for everyone


Col Austin Akobundu (Rtd) who was Innaugurated alongside other members of the campaign Council was one of the earliest dignatories to arrive the venue. Other Candidates of the party at their various capacities were also present 

Speaking at the Inauguration, the Abia PDP Governorship Candidate for the 2023 general elections, Professor Uche Ikonne promised to improve and consolidate on the achievements recorded by the present administration while he applauded the qualities and the capacity of Col Akobundu, enthusiastically stating his assurance of effective Legislation at the Red Chambers.

In his speech earlier, the State PDP chairman Rt Hon Asiforo Okere informed the house that all members of the party were automatic members of the campaign council as the council has been structured to accommodate everyone at all strata of government and leadership from the National to the Unit level.






Other personalities that graced the occasion includes; The running mate to the Governorship Candidate, Hon. Barrister Okey Igwe, House of Representatives member, Hon. Uko Nkole, Senatorial Candidate for Abia Central, Col. Austin Akobundu (Rtd), Secretary to Government, Barrister Chris Ezem, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Okey Ahiwe, Leader umuahia south legislative council, Chief Denis Okorie, Director General of the Uche Ndi Abia Campaign Organization, Rt Hon Chinedum Elechi, members of the State Working Committee of the Party, Candidates, Local Government Chairmen, Party Leaders and other stakeholders.
