COL AUSTIN AKOBUNDU VISITS BAWAS ON A COURTESY CALL TO THE EMINENT TRADITIONAL PRIME MINISTER

 

Col Austin Akobundu (Rtd) payed a courtesy visit to The Traditional Prime Minister of Ibeku Ancient Kingdom, Chief Uche Akwukwaegbu in his Country Home in Amuzukwu, Ibeku, Umuahia Abia State. He praised the leadership qualities of the political juggernaut as he hinted that his relationship with the foremost traditional Prime minister in the state goes a long way.

He spoke on the collective resolve that led to his decision to run for the Senate and the opportunity to use this visit to further foster his already existing cordial relationship with Chief Akwukwaegbu and by extension the good people of Ibeku Ancient Kingdom.


The Campaign DG for Col Austin Akobundu, Pastor Chief Emeka Inyama informed the political Stalwart, Chief Akwukwaegbu of his nomination as the Deputy advisory campaign director of the structure with De Onyema Ugochukwu as the Director.

The campaign DG, Ohamadike, stated that this nomination was with immediate effect as the visit was a dual purpose visit. He went further to inform Bawas that hopefully by the end of this week, that the official Inauguration of the Structure would be done.



Chief Bawas in his response insisted that he was committed to the entire PDP structure. He stated that he was pleased to have been nominated as the Deputy Director of the Advisory body

The campaign Coordinator of Umuahia North, Hon Chief B.S. Onuigbo thanked Chief Bawas for his hospitality and his warm reception. He also applauded the brother-liness exhibited between the two bigwigs.

Col Austin Akobundu was joined by  Hon Chief Maxwell Adindu - Former House Member of Umuahia South and former Commissioner for Education. Others were Elder Chief Darlington Uwanuakwa, Hon Chief Benjamin Onuigbo, Chief Uche Nwosu, Sir Obinna Ukaegbu and Dr Ken Nwokeocha.
