Bishop Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, has emerged the Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC in Abia State.
The Methodist Bishop defeated his closest rival, Mr Otisi Ebitu Ukiwe to clinch the sole ticket of the party and will hence, fly the flag of the party in the 2023 general election.
Declaring the winner of the primary election held on Saturday at Kolping Society, World Bank Housing Estate, Umuahia, the Returning Officer, Ikem Ukandu announced that Bishop Onuoha, polled a total of 330 votes, Mr Otisi scored 160 votes while 20 were void votes, while declaring the Methodist Bishop Winner.
Bishop Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha in his speech, Congratulated his brother, Mr Otisi Ebitu Ukiwe, saying that Abians have spoken through their votes, promising to represent their interest, if he becomes the Governor of Abia State come May 2023.
