A two day workshop and team building retreat with the theme "Developing the People, Building the Nation, and Making our Future Bright" has been held in Uyo, Akwaibom State for elected councillors of Umuahia South Local Government Area.
The workshop and retreat aimed at helping the councillors to work hard and in love, meaningfully impact on their constituents and to complement the effort of the Abia government was sponsored by Engineer Godswill Ubani from Olokoro clan in Usiga, Abia state.
Three experienced personalities delivered speeches at the event: Honourable Kufre Edidem, a member of Itu State House of Assembly and former chairman of Itu Local Government Area in Akwaibom State spoke on Political Career Management, Honourable Udeme Esset, former PDP State Publicity Secretary, Akwaibom state, discussed Leadership and Organisation while Obong Nse Willie, former regional manager of United Bank for Africa, Akwaibom state talked on Financial Management.
The councilors were admonished and encouraged to give their best to ensure that they better the lot of the led.
Those who attend the retreat include Dr. Max Ndukwe Adindu, Dr. Humphrey Benson, Chairman of Umuahia South Local Government Area, Chief Dennis Okorie, Leader of Umuahia South Legislative Council, Vice Chairman of PDP Abia State, Chukwudi Ezebuiro, the LGA PDP Chairman, Jalo C. Okezie, Engr. Asuoha and other personalities.
